Bob has developed and presented
over 750 training programs to industry, the U.S. Army, government agencies and
academic institutions on the subjects of leadership,
motivation, effective communications, coaching and
counseling skills for managers and supervisors,
strength-based career development and life planning
(using appreciative inquiry), outcomes-based
strategic planning, teambuilding, and humor and change
(among other topics). |

His clients
have included the United States Army, Xerox Corporation, Motorola, Inc.,
Toshiba, Inc., Philips Lighting Company, Arcs of
Allegany, Steuben, and Schuyler Counties, ALCAS/CUTCO
Corporation, Rich Products, Inc., New York State
Electric and Gas, Olean General Hospital, and the
International Association of Administrative
Professionals. He earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education
Administration from SUNY Buffalo in 1988, with an
emphasis on industry, university and government
interactions.
Bob is currently directing the Graduate Counseling
Program, a component of the Division of Counseling and School
Psychology at Alfred, as an Associate Professor and
Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Bob has also served as
Associate Vice President of Research and Sponsored
Programs, coordinating outreach and liaison efforts with
industrial and government research sponsors, interacting
with foundations and economic development agencies, and
administering grants and contracts.
Bob has
published numerous articles related to research and
economic development, as well as articles on leadership,
humor, change, and effective communication in the
workplace, and is currently a contributing editor to the
Olean Times Herald in the area of management
development. He is also an adjunct faculty member of
Jamestown Community College’s Management Institute,
where he regularly teaches courses in management
principles and supervisory development. He is an active
community member, and is a board member of Kinship
Family and Youth Services and a past president of the
Alfred Lion's Club.
Bob and Dianne, his wife, live in Alfred, NY. Their
daughter, Sarah, is a recruiting coordinator for a
multinational law firm in Washington, DC, and their son,
Michael, is an environmental consultant in Bethlehem,
PA.
